Yoga and Permaculture

Permaculturecreating a permanent culture is more than just how one secures food. It is about relationships and tuning in with the abundant natural forces that surround uswind, rain, sun, soil and human love and ingenuity. It is about finding and designing ways of using energy and resources in a sustainable manner.
The scriptures remind us that yoga sadhana is based on reverence for nature and traditionally yoga was practiced in retreat; in nature, cultivating gardens, taking care of animals and learning to live with nature. Yoga and permaculture share a moral and ethical basis and both provide solutions to the current eco-crisis which requires spiritual as well as practical response.
