Vedic knowledge is the essential knowledge of Self and universe along with their underlying identity. It helps us understand the workings of cosmic intelligence behind all the forces and events in life. Vedic knowledge is the basis of the Vedic sciences and the teachings of Yoga, Vedanta and Tantra, the Vedic and yogic arts and philosophies.
All Vedic sciences and yogic disciplines represent different aspects, angles or approaches to the same inner reality. Each is an expression of the universal whole.
Yoga is the practical discipline of Self-realization through the right development of body and mind towards a higher consciousness.
Vedanta is the meditative approach to Self-realization, and the ultimate philosophy of unity and integration.
Tantra is the practical application of subtle energies, both within and around us, as factors of transformation.
Ayurveda is the Vedic science of healing for both body and mind, showing us right life style and how to remove toxins and negativities.
Jyotish is the Vedic science of time, karma and planetary influences. It shows us how to deal with the movement of events within and around us.
Vastu is the Vedic science of directional forces. It helps us orient our dwellings towards bringing in higher powers and energies.
Vedic mantras provide the key insights for all the Vedic sciences and can be used for almost any Vedic discipline. They are the expression of cosmic intelligence in its own language.
Vedic Yajnas or fire offerings help us work with the powers of light in the universe, drawing divine energies into our world and dispelling the darkness.
Tantric Pujas help us work with the subtle energies of nature and the five elements, developing the power of devotion.
Each of these Vedic and Yogic disciplines has its place and can work best applied together in an integral manner with all the others. Each may require its various specialists for its maximum application, but each has its relevance for the daily life of the individual, for self-care and sadhana.

What is Vedic Knowledge Integration?

8/29 8:30 - 9:45 pm; 8/30 8:00 - 10:00 am, 2:30 - 4:00 pm
"Vedic Yoga is the original Raja Yoga teaching behind all the branches of Yoga and all the different Vedic sciences. Vedic Yoga is rooted in the Mantra Yoga of the Rigveda, the oldest Vedic text, where important mantric verses like the Gayatri or Mrityunjaya originate, among the many hymns of the ancient Rishis. We will explore the Vedic Yoga as a point of both origin and integration for Vedic and Yogic knowledge, including Yoga, Vedanta, Ayurveda, and Jyotish."
Such Vedic and yogic disciplines have developed and diversified over time, and their common thread is often lost on modern students, who may get lost in their outer details. This can prevent them from gaining their full benefits. They may use only one or two and not know the benefits of all, or the place of each.

Yoga Practice in Contemporary Times: A short guide to yogic practices and living with awareness. The philosophy and practice of Yoga goes back in Indian History pre-dating the Vedic culture in India to the time of the Mohanjadaro and Harappan cultures. The philosophy, theology and practical methods of Yoga is at the core of Hindu Mysticism, and the ideals of Yoga are also shared by the mysticism that is at the core of many other major world religions. The contemporary yoga practitioner who lives and practices the ideals of yoga in an environment that is far removed from that of the upanishadic sages and seers, is faced with the stress of modern livelyhood and from inundation of sensory stimuli.

Vedic philosophy is rich in symbolism of the spiritual journey to the source of pure consciousness or the Self. In this captivating class we will explore the symbolism of Krishna, the dark one, and his mythological relationship to modern findings in astrophysics and the source of creation.
- In the late 1950s and early 1960s, geologists declared that the earth’s surface has transformed over the millennia. Implications of the movement of continents on tectonic plates is now more far reaching than ever. This fascinating class will explore concepts related to earth movement shown in Vastu, the Vedic science of space, and other Vedic texts.
